Sam Dye

Sam Dye, 87, of Brodhead, KY, passed away, Monday, July 14th, 2025 at Compassionate Care Center, in Richmond. Sam was born in Orkney, Kentucky on May 12,1938. He was a Son of the late Rettie Gayheart and Bert Dye. He was a Union Carpenter for many years. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #104 since 1987. He lived a quiet and peaceable life who treasured each family member dearly. He had previously attended New Hope First Church of God. He enjoyed gardening and raising chickens.

Raymon Harris, Robert Harris Jr., Aaliyah Landers, R'aunna Landers, Liam Murphy, Ryan Harris, Raylinn Harris, and Bryce Wells.

2 Great- Great Grandchildren

Raymon Harris Jr. and Rai'aunna Harris.

In addition to his parents Sam was preceeded in death by his wife Laura Jane Allen Dye, four sisters, Maxxie Howell, Bessie Bryant, Betty Falany, and Effie Sword, as well as four brothers, Carl Dye, Charles Dye, Acie Dye, and Kennel Dye.

Officiating Minister: Bro. Marshall Malone

Place of Burial: Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery

Public visitation will be held from 10 AM - 12 PM Noon funeral time at McKnight Funeral Home on Thursday July 17, 2025
