Sam Serio Obituary
Beloved husband of Arlene Serio (nee Dickinson), whom he married on November 18, 1972, loving father of John (Cindy) Serio of Wheaton, IL, Matthew (Alexis) Serio of Naperville and Noelle (David) Williams of Naperville, adored grandfather of Lindsey, Austin and Brandon Serio; Ava and Logan Serio; Luke and Brynn Williams, devoted son of the late John and Rose (nee Blasucci) Serio, dear brother of the late Josephine Marks and the late Frank (the late Marie) Serio, brother-in-law of Paul (Teri) Dickinson and Cheryl (Steve) Knorr, fond cousin, uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.
Sam grew up on Chicago's West Side and was a graduate of Providence St. Mel High School. He worked as a commodities clerk at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) for over 40 years. After his retirement from CBOT, Sam was employed as a bus driver for Naperville Community Unit School District 203.
Sam was a current member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and was a former member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, both in Naperville. An enthusiastic sports fan, Sam loved the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 15, 11:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1450 Green Trails Dr., Naperville, IL 60540.
Interment will be private.

Arlene, I am so sorry to hear of Sam´s passing. I wish I had heard earlier and could have attended his service. I had so many fond memories and fun times with him.
