Samantha's passing occurred on Monday, October 9, 2023, in Alba due to a tragic accident. Samantha Nicole Furrh was born on June 26, 1987, in Dallas, TX, to her parents B.J. Furrh and Lee Ann Wilson Furrh. She grew up in Edgewood and graduated from high school as part of the class of 2005.
Samantha was known as the manager of the Family Dollar in Alba, where she lived with her partner of 16 years, Jason Jenkins, who is also the father of her son, Lil Jason. Samantha was an active member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. Her interests included outdoor activities like fishing and rock painting, and she had a passion for decorating. Most importantly, Samantha valued her time with family and friends above all else.
Samantha leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering spirit. She is survived by her grieving parents, B.J. and Lee Ann Furrh of Edgewood, Texas; her beloved son, Jason Jenkins Jr., and her partner, Jason Jenkins, both of Alba, Texas; her brother, B.J. Price of Texarkana, Texas; her sisters, Kimberly Furrh and Tessa Furrh, both of Edgewood, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews: Alyssa Furrh, Marissa Furrh, Kiara Furrh, Kady Neighbors, Tristan Price, Austin Peugh, and Brysen Furrh.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood.

I've not been to the store in several weeks because of a medical condition, so I just found out about Samantha. My heart is broken. Every time I went into the store she was smiling. She could make another person smile easily, no matter what kind of day they have. This world has lost a very special lady, but Heaven has gained a sweet soul. Keeping Samantha's family in my prayers.
