I started my teaching career with Mr. Bean at the helm. Always smooth sailing - he had a quiet calm that was reassuring when the seas were rough. He was respected and will be missed. My sympathy to the family, hope you find strength in knowing he is at peace.

Cindy,
Sam will be missed so much! As the "captain" of our Viking ship for so many years, he led us on some great voyages! I appreciated all the support and encouragement he gave me as a teacher and ESPECIALLY as the cheer coach. He and Myles enjoyed talking about growing up in west Texas, golf, football, basketball and whatever other sports they could. I enjoyed his consistency, integrity, respect and friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Mr. Bean was my principal from my freshman year to my senior year of high school at Nimitz High School. He always said hi and was always there for an ear if I needed to talk. Thanks for being an awesome principal for the four years that I spent in high school.

Coach Bean was such a good guy. He sponsored Mandy Harmon Box and I as debaters in Robert Lee Texas. He signed us up for lots of tourneys in order for us to being good competitors which greatly led to us being successful. He was supportive and caring but mostly there, and even tempered. RIP sam Bean.
