Samuel L. Black, age 89, formerly of Clinton (Hanover twp.) slipped into the arms of his loving Savior Sunday morning, December 21, 2025 in the comfort of his daughter’s home in Leesburg, Indiana. He was born August 1, 1936 in Indiana, PA. as the last surviving child of the late William Harvey & Margaret Pauline (Lingenfelter) Black. Before his retirement he had worked as a steel worker and was a veteran of the United States army, and a founding member of the Community Bible Church, Aliquippa.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Norma Jean (Rice) Black, a son Daniel Leon Black and a daughter Donna Lee Kozarovich, his sisters Marie McCullough & Margaret Irene Rice.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Laura Jean & Rev. Mark Fishburn, Randall Wayne Black and Steven Mark Black, daughter-in-law Heather Black, and a son-in-law Dan Kozarovich. He was also a grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 6.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the McConnell Funeral Home, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Sunday, December 28th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. His service will be held Monday, December 29th at the Community Bible Church, 9549 Route 151, Aliquippa, PA. 15001 at 11 am. Rev. Bob Kern officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. He will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery.

Local arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, IN 46580.
