Death has again quenched the flame of a beautiful life, and God has called our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend into his fold. His life has shone forth as a beacon in this dark world. His departure from this life on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, has caused many sorrowful hearts to bleed, and many eyes to water with the realization that a beloved and honorable man has gone.
Samuel "Sammy" Lee Bone was born on September 19, 1949, in Helena, Arkansas to Mercile "Jett" Lindsey and William Bone, Sr. Sammy accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Springlake Missionary Baptist Church. Sammy retired from A.O. Smith Fiberglass after 30 years of dedicated service and continued to work on projects for Alesia Bone for the remainder of his years.
Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and six siblings.
His precious memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Alesia Bone; his two adoring children, Daniel Bone, Sr. of Bryant, AR, and Vanassa "LaShea" Rosby (Vic) of Little Rock, AR; his loving aunt, Celestine Davis of Springdale, AR; his four brothers, Charles "Squeaky" Lindsey of Malvern, AR; Tyrone "Joe" Bone (Gina) of Waukegan, IL; Ricky Bone of Zion, IL; Garland Bone of Zion, IL; his four sisters, Ernestine Bone of Kenosha, WI; Deloris McQueen (Fred) of Atlanta, GA; Gwendolyn Jarrett of San Antonio, TX; Beverly Alexander of Los Angeles, CA; his four loving grandchildren, Alesia D. Bone, Lindsay Rosby, Marquez Bone, Daniel Bone, Jr., and his three adorable great grandchildren, Kayleigh Denise Taylor, Aria "Oreo" Blalock, and his little shadow, Messiah "Chunk" Blalock as well as his honorary grandchildren, Zion and Zoey Newsome; and his special, loving nieces, Deidra Lurine Newsome and Ardrinnie Eldridge.
