Samuel Henry Bugay, age 64, passed away on May 19, 2024. Sam was a jeweler and artist. He is survived by his wife, Susan, and two children, Max Bugay and Sophia Bugay. Sam’s parents, Milton and Margie Bugay, who predecease him, operated BuGay’s Jewelers, a family business that existed for nearly 100 years. Milton Bugay was a professional musician. Sam is one of three children; his sister, Rosalind (Sanford) Schiller, and brother, Arthur (Dana) Bugay, survive him. Sam enjoyed the outdoors and spent time, after high school, living in Wyoming. He also lived in Owensboro, Kentucky, for a year during high school. Those wishing to commemorate his memory are invited to donate to the National Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org
