Samuel Thomas Clark of Doylestown, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in the Armada Care Home, Mesa, AZ. He was 100.
Born in Carlisle, PA to the late Frederick and Ida (Reem) Clark, Samuel resided in Hershey, PA before moving to Doylestown, PA in 1969.
Samuel served in the United States Army in the European Theater during World War II. He received the Bronze Star Medal with 1 bronze oak leaf cluster and the Purple Heart. Samuel played the drums in the United States Army band and also enjoyed big band music. He was formerly employed with the US government at Olmstead Air Force Base, Middletown, PA then transferred to Hill Air Force Base in Utah before relocating to the Philadelphia Naval Yard. After retiring, Samuel delivered automotive parts for the Thompson Organization. He was a member of the Doylestown Presbyterian Church, enjoyed cars and car shows, he also played with the Junior Hershey Bears hockey team during his youth.
He was the beloved Husband of Jeraldine (Meily) Clark; devoted father of Renee Houpert and Samuel T. Clark, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Emily Fox and husband Dennis Fox, and James Houpert; dear brother of Lucinda Marshall; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A graveside service with military honors will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Mountville United Methodist Church, 303 Mountville Drive, Lebanon, PA 17046 or the Disabled American Veterans www.dav.org would be appreciated.
