Samuel M. Cupp

Samuel M. Cupp, aged 94, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, in Williamsburg, Virginia. Born on October 11, 1930, in Christiansburg, Virginia, Samuel lived a life marked by dedication to his work, passion for his hobbies, and love for his family.
Samuel served his country honorably as an Army Sergeant from 1951 to 1954. After his military service, he played a vital role in the establishment and management of Rose's locations in the south, where he was known for his leadership and dedication.
In his leisure time, Samuel was an avid stamp collector. He also loved to garden. Above all, Samuel valued spending time with his family, creating memories that will be treasured by those he leaves behind.
Samuel is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Sydney and Willi; his brother, David Evans; his sisters, Elizabeth, Margaret, Doris, and Daisy; and his dear friend, Al Parham. He is survived by his loving nieces, Barbara Grimm, Margaret Rogers, and Jeanne Darrah, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews who will miss him dearly. Samuel also leaves behind cherished friends, Kelly Fulton, Laurie Smith, Sue Willett, and Joyce Gooch.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, aides, and other staff of Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care they provided in Samuel's final days.
Samuel's legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
