Samuel "Sammy" Figueroa of Tampa, Florida passed away on Tuesday May 14, 2024, at the age of 60. He was born to his parents Wilpido and Maria Figueroa in Brooklyn, New York on January 11, 1964. Sammy moved to Florida in 2015 from New York. He lived on a farm and helped care for many horses. He was nicknamed Puerto Rican Cowboy. He was known to his family as the favorite, fun, loud, and a superhero. No matter what the task he was determined to be the one to do it.
Sammy is predeceased by his parents, and siblings Lidia and Francisco.
Sammy is survived by his Fiance Dale Jahnke-Davis Figueroa; children Christofer, Michelle, Meiling, Samuel "Macho", Nathalie, Rebeka, Cynthia, and Samuel; siblings Nancy, Paul, Johnny, Hector, Willy, Norma, Aida, Candy, and Carmen; along with 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 19 horses - his personal riding horse Patelo, 4 cows, one miniature pinscher Hallie Barry, two Dobermans, Ana and Magdalena, two German shepherds, Hurricane and Ginger and a Catahoula his right hand and side kick, Chiquitito and several cats..
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2024, from 3 PM- 9 PM at Hamlin & Hilbish, with the service happening in between at 6:30 PM.
Parking for Hamlin & Hilbish will be in the parking lot next to Lake Eustis Christian Church. There will be cones, a sign, and possible police assistance with crossing.
