Samuel Richard Haupt, born on December 18, 1958 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Samuel Algae and Jewel Sparks Haupt Beck, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022. He was at home surrounded by his loving family.
Ricky grew up in Macon and graduated from Southwest High School in 1976. On August 6, 1983, Ricky's life changed forever when he married the love of his life,Tina Hinson Haupt and he made Cochran his new home. He loved music and was the audio engineer for the band Legacy for 18 years. He worked as a financial manager for TMX Finance's Title-Max company and The World Finance Corporation, where he retired. Ricky was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Macon and attended Limestone Baptist Church in Cochran.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Tina H. Haupt of Cochran; daughter Erica Haupt of Cochran; son, Ricky Haupt of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Clay Cavanah of Cochran; grandchildren, Emma Burke and Missy Beck; brother, Alan Beck and his wife Bonnie of Eastman; sisters, Martha Burke and her husband Keith, Linda Sue King and her husband Earl of Warner Robins, Maxine Lundy and her husband Mike of Aiken, South Carolina, Shirley Whitzel of Macon, and Ginger Potter and her husband Steve of Hilton Head, South Carolina; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Limestone Baptist Church in Cochran. The Reverend Jay Moore and Andy Hogan will officiate services. Interment will be private in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in the sanctuary.
The family is at the Haupt residence on Barlow Road in Cochran.
