Cochran – Ann Payne Evans, age 82, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, in Atrium Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. in Chester Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until time for the service Saturday at Chester Baptist Church. Burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.

Ann was born in Dudley and had lived most of her life in Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Parkey P. and Dora Starley Payne. She was retired from Community Mental Health Center in Dublin, a former employee at L&H Shirt Factory and Little Ford both in Cochran. Ann was a dedicated and active member of the Chester Lions Club and a member of Chester Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, W.H. Evans of Cochran; her daughters, Karen Evans (Kaz) Yoshida of Macon and Lynn Evans (Ned) Hobbs of Cochran; her grandchildren, Amie Yoshida, Kenji Yoshida, Morgan (Christopher) Adkins and Wesley (Destin) Hobbs; her great grandchildren, William Adkins and Elisabeth Adkins; her brother, Jerry (Ann) Payne of Dallas; several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Ann Payne Evans to Chester Lions Club, 268 Sam Butler Rd., Cochran GA 31014 or Chester Baptist Church, P.O. Box 306, Chester GA 31012
