Samuel Brown Hesler

Samuel Brown Hesler, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on April 7, 1938, in Houston, Texas, Samuel lived a life dedicated to faith, family, and service.
On December 24, 1961, Samuel married his beautiful wife, Hilda. Their union was blessed with two daughters and a son. Samuel's legacy extends to six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply.
A man of profound faith, Samuel served as a devoted pastor for three years. He pursued higher education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree.
Samuel had a passion for genealogy and even authored a book about his own family history and 2 church history books. He was an avid reader, often found immersed in the pages of his Bible. Those who knew him well would recall his fondness for the color red, which he particularly loved to see adorning his beloved wife.
Samuel Brown Hesler's life was a testament to love, faith, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his 86 years.
Preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Bertha Mae Hesler.
Survived by wife Hilda of Baytown, Texas; daughter Janet (Jeff) Keeten of Dodge City, Kansas; daughter Evelyn (Kelly) KIncl of Lago Vista, Texas; son John (Angie) Helser or Cypress, Texas. Grandchildren Kelly (Sylvia) Kincl of Bastrop, Texas; Kimberly Kincl of Austin, Texas; Caleb (Emma) Keeten of Dodge City, Kansas; Cadence Keeten of Kansas City, Kansas; Taylor (Peyton) Piersol of Cyress, Texas; and Hunter Hesler of Cypress, Texas. Great grandchildren Mishka and Lexa Caraway of Austin, Texas; Rhett and Jackson Piersol of Cypress, Texas. Sister Irene McClendon of Houston, Texas as well as numerous other family members.
