Samuel (Sam) Hightower, 57, of Wittenberg, WI., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 30th, 2024, at the Marshfield Medical Center.
Sam was born June 23rd, 1966, in Tomahawk, WI. / Irma, WI. He was a high school graduate from Merrill SR High School in Merril, WI. In the year 1984.In high school he was involved in football, Forensics (In the "M.A.S.H." play he was in) and broke records in Track.
After high school, Sam enlisted in the Navy and did his boot camp in Great Lakes but was honorably discharged due to medical issues. He did also have some schooling at the Trans American School of Broadcasting as well.
Sam was married to his beloved wife Kathleen (Kathy) Hightower on 5/22/87 At St Stephens Lutheran Church, Wausau, WI.
He was a loving husband, father and "Papa" who will be greatly missed. He enjoyed watching his sports (Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Bucks, the Brewers, and the WWE wrestling matches. In addition, he loved spending time with his family and friends, his vacations to Cancun and Jamaica, camping shooting pool fishing, collecting shot glasses and construction work.
Sam was the owner of New Look Builders which he dedicated himself to. His past employment has been with Northstar Cleaning and Restoration, Bohlman Construction, Danrick Builders, North Central Healthcare Facilities as a CNA, helped run Willdlife Refuge Bar and Kings Knight where he was a DJ and bartender.
Sam was survived by His wife Kathleen (Blomberg) Hightower of Wittenberg, WI, his 5 daughters, Tamara Hightower (Art Cruz) of Weston, WI, Brittney Hightower (Brian Senne) of Island Lake, IL, Amber Hightower (Rodie Sughayer) of Wittenberg, WI, Haley Hightower (Logan Davis) of Wittenberg, WI., Brianne Kluck of Stevens Point, WI. And his 15 grandchildren: La Shaunte, Caden, Rain, Abigale, Kalie, Joella, Enzo, Autom, Aubrey, Roman, Avery, Kylie, Silas, Nolan, and Roree amongst his aunts, uncles, cousins, and devoted longtime friend Jerald (Jerry) Kolinski.
Sam was preceded in death by his father, Samuel N Hightower Sr, his mother Linda Lu Teschner, his sister, Lorie Hightower, grandparents Edmund Teschner, Leona Teschner along with his great grandparents as well.
Our family would like to thank Mid State Cremation Society for assisting our family with the arrangements and all our friends and family for all the support, prayers, condolences, and messages of comfort we received over the past few days. Please keep the prayers coming as we go through this journey.
A celebration of life will be held in June. Date, time, and place will be determined later.
