Until we meet again.

Just about every really cool thing I ever did growing up in Southwest Washington I did with Sammy. I met him at age 12 and by the time we were teenagers we were thick as thieves. I will never forget the hospitality of his father Frank, and his mother Leilani, who would see me and say "Fix a plate", even if we were just stopping by to head out on the next adventure. Brothers and sisters Tanya, Tara, Tia, and David were not only great friends and mentors, they became my first employers. I was a Plush-Pippen and Taco bell alum. It was hanging with Sammy and working at Taco bell that led me to meet my wife. I have such good memories of those times and the central role that Sammy played in all of it. I am sorry that my career path took me so far away from Sammy and his wife Bonnie. One of the last times we were together was in San Antonio Texas, my current home. Though separated by two thousand miles Sammy was never far from my mind. I will miss him greatly, I miss him already. Until we meet again.
