Sam was born January 21, 1981, in Fort Worth, son of
Douglas Lee and Brenda Thurman.
His commitment to providing for his family was above and beyond. Truck driver,
machinist, mechanic, fabrication, Sam could fix and build anything!! Since he
was a little boy, he always wanted to be a truck driver. He achieved that goal and
was very successful with his Trucking Company, BLACK SPADE TRANSPORT. His
favorite possession is “Whitey”, his Peterbilt, that he spent long hours rebuilding.
When Sam wasn’t working, he loved to go camping with his family and friends.
Over the last seven years he, I, and the girls spent a lot of our fun time at Possum
Kingdom Lake. During this time, we made some amazing friendships with what is
now our Lake family. These were some of his favorite days.
I believe that Sam left this world on his iron horse doing what he loved.
