Samuel Lehner Obituary
Chambersburg - Samuel R. Lehner, 84, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away December 4, 2020 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on November 18, 1936 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to Samuel and Ruth (Stambaugh) Lehner. He attended the Chambersburg Mennonite Church. He retired from T.B. Woods after 34 years of service and worked at Wilson College for several years. He served four years in the Air Force. He enjoyed music, especially Gospel Blue Grass and organ music.
Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Joanne (Gayman) Lehner, whom he married May 4, 1963. He has three children; Steven (husband of Sharon) Lehner of Germantown, MD., Karen (wife of Kevin) Dunlap of Newville, Norma (wife of Marcus) Blank of Chambersburg. He has seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sonia Bricker.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00AM at the Chambersburg Mennonite Church with Pastor Dale Lehman and Pastor Jerry Roth officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 9:00 Pm at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Myers Cemetery, Pleasant Hall. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.

Sam was a very good neighbor and musician. Occasionally we would join in an impromptu session, he on the guitar and I on the accordion, and take off in bluegrass tunes. I will miss him. Sven Engblom.

Deepest sympathy to the Lehner family. I'm so glad I got acquainted with Sam when I started attending his church. Sam was very kind ... and very enjoyable to talk with. I'll miss him. The funeral service spoke deeply to me, helping me too on my way.
