Samuel "Sam" Tracy Miller, Sr., 64, of rural Bellefontaine, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
Samuel was born on January 2, 1960, in Bellefontaine, a son of Verlin R. Miller, and Myra A. Tracy Miller. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mike Taylor.
Sam married Teresa J. Clifton Miller on June 14, 1997, at the West Mansfield Conservation Club, and she survives. He is also survived by six children, Tracy (Jeremy) Tanner, Erica Craig, Samuel T. (Kelly) Miller, II, Mandi Craig, Morgan (Brad) Davis, and Sara (JJ) Garver, 19 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, his special Thiwahe, Mychal Cox, three siblings, Henry Miller, Rex Miller, and Virginia Taylor, and his Taloga family.
Sam was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He previously worked for NXAL at Honda East Liberty Plant. Sam was a member of the Mad River Muzzle Loaders Club and Logan Hills Festival. He enjoyed building 3-D puzzles, and collecting anything wolves related. He was extremely proud of his Native American Heritage and helped with directing and acting with the Taloga Outdoor Drama. Sam loved being with his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 4-7 pm, Thursday, September 19, 2024, pm at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to his family c/o Shoffstall Funeral Home.
