Taylor; children: Dontai "DL" Mitchell (Candice), Sonya Washington, Stephanie Richardson, Truemetria Wright; and bonus sons: David Taylor, Johnny Taylor, and Otis Green; grandchildren: Dezmond Mitchell, Destiny Mitchell, Cayden Mitchell, Johnzavier Odom, Raven Odom, Tori Odom, Jada Odom, Nekiah Odom, Rodneshia Rhodes, Chloie Green, Lajuan Rhodes, Michael Bryant, Mikel Bryant, Shawnterra Mitchell, Briana Mitchell, Jaden Brown, Ayshia Singleton (De-Antonio), Rashard Wright, and Jarell Wright; and siblings: Bernard Canty (Pearline), Barbera Smith (William), Patricia Green (Fred, Jr.), Janie Hunter, Reynold Mitchell (Betty), Dorothy Mitchell, and Vanessa Shosan. He was preceded by his parents, Elder Sammie Lee Mitchell, Sr., and Beaulah Mae Canty Mitchell; siblings: Joe Louis Mitchell, Rev. Bertha Spatcher, Benjamin Mitchell and Enoch Steed.
