Samuel A. Mull, 68, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 25, 1957, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Richard E. and Gladys M. Ferry Mull.
Sam was a 1975 graduate of CASHS. He was employed as a machinist for over 48 years at Fives Landis in Hagerstown, MD, formerly Landis Tool Company of Waynesboro, PA, until his retirement in 2024. He was a member of Solomon’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg where he sang for many years in the church choir. Sam enjoyed being outside, doing yard work, and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Becky A. Bower Mull, whom he married on March 24, 2001; three children, Dustin Mull and wife Megan of Fayetteville, Kristen Parr of Shippensburg, and Sean Kindall and wife Chelsea of Shippensburg; seven grandchildren, Riley, Adilyn, Garrett, Paizley, Kipten, Azlin, and Brileigh; and his sister, Kimberly I. Diehl of Westminster, MD. Aside from his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his son, John Kindall; and brother-in-law, Sidney Diehl.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Solomon’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4856 Wayne Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Michael Allwein will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Solomon’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at the above address. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
