Samuel Peddicord, age 95, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at Rock Creek Manor. Sam was born on October 26, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia to parents Samuel Robert Peddicord, Sr. and Martha McKinley Peddicord.
Sam is survived by his wife of 73 years, the former Barbara Simmons Torrey. He is also survived by daughter, Susan Lynn Rapert (Kevin) of Georgetown, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Torrey and Laura Peddicord of Katy, Texas; sister, Nancy Peddicord Henegar of Bartlett, Tennessee; grandchildren, Michael (Brittney), Danyel, John Paul, Brittney (Jack), Parker, Carson and Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Chase, Alice, Anna, Brooklynn, Jaxon, and Amelia; sister-in-law, Carole Torrey of Orlando, Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service for Sam will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday October 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center of Jasper, Georgia.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
