Samuel Perry Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Samuel J. Perry, Sr., 64, who died early Wednesday morning at his residence. He was born May 24, 1946 in Youngstown, a son of Adam and Cecilia (Badilla) Perry. He resided in the Youngstown area most of his life and he also resided in Saudi Arabia for six years. He was a 1965 graduate of The Rayen School. He was currently working as an inspector for Glunt Industries in Warren where he had been for 21 years. He was a car enthusiast, and he enjoyed playing softball, scuba diving and spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. He married the former Janice Mounsey on August 27, 1966 and she preceded him in death March 23, 2001. He is survived by his parents of Liberty; his fiancee, Bernadette Bednarik; five children; Samuel (Peggy) Perry, Jr. of Youngstown, Andrea (Alberto) Lopez of El Paso, TX, Adam (Ellen) Perry of Austintown, Monica (Robert) Burkholder of Youngstown, and Julie (Gregory) Naple of Youngstown; three brothers; David (Bonnie) Perry of Baytown, TX, Robert Perry of Socorro, NM, and Kenneth (Karen) Perry of Youngstown; thirteen grandchildren; and fourteen grand "puppies". Besides his wife he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Perry. Friends may call from 3-6pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Lane Funeral Home in Sam's memory.
