Samuel Lee Pitts, 74, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
Born May 28, 1951, in Wabash Indiana, he was the son of the late Norma Jean Walters.
Those left to cherish his memory; his beloved wife, Sharon Timberlake Pitts of the home; sons, Shodee Pitts of Mt. Holly, NC, and Shaun Pitts and wife Emily of Ozark, AL; daughter, Sundae Dowdle and husband Michael of Mt. Holly, NC; stepsons, Joshua Joyce (Kristina), and Justin Joyce (Robin); grandchildren, Stoney Davidson, Colt Davidson (Autumn), Wyatt Davidson, Rachel Pitts, Samuel Pitts, Jr., Madison Pitts, Katelyn Pitts, and Emma Pitts; step grandchildren, Cori Hunter (Nolan), Peyton Dowdle (Scout), Spencer Dowdle, Lanie Stein, Halee Stein, Jon Joyce, and JoJo Joyce; great grandson, John Richards; and step great grandchildren, Paisley Hunter, Aelya hunter, Maven Hunter, and Stetson Hunter.
Memorial Service will be 11:30AM Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Deep River Church of Christ; 2067 Deep River Rd., High Point; with the Reverend David Galloway officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
