Samuel Lee Stringer

North Augusta, SC – Funeral Services for Mr. Samuel Lee Stringer, 71, who entered into rest November 17, 2025, will be conducted Tuesday morning, November 25, 2025, at 11 o'clock from Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Robert L. Baker, Jr. officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5 until 7.

Mr. Stringer was born June 15, 1954, in Edgefield County, South Carolina. He was baptized by Rev. Barnes at Community Baptist Church in El Paso, Texas at a young age. Samuel spent most of his youth in El Paso, TX but graduated from North Augusta High School. He served his country with honor and distinction as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army. Beyond his military service, Samuel was a Deacon and Chief Usher, faithfully serving his church, Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Samuel leaves behind a legacy that will endure for generations. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys Stringer; mother, Atline Cooper; sister, Lena Mae Wideman.

Survivors include his wife, Willia Stringer; sons, Lionell Joshua Stringer (Joanna) and Derrick Battle (Roxanne); daughters, Anita E. Barlowe (Reginald), Tara D. Winters-Lemon (Vaughn) and Lamecca A. Jenkins (Jarryl); father, Albert Cooper; sisters, Inell Ford (King Solomon), Linda Johnson (Eddie), Shirley Mitchem (Davis), Annette Simmons, Wanda Lee Hicks, Novella Jones, Beatrice Silas (Patrick), Savannah Kitchen (Arthur), Carmen Queen (Worthington), Diane Cromwell (Jonny), Susan Warren (Glen), Joycelyn Cooper (Harry), Willen Cooper; brothers, Michael Cooper (Teresa) and Joseph Cooper (Latoya); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Kevon Williams, Reginald Houston, Deacon Henry Mealing, Deacon Bertrum Saxon, Deacon, Kenneth Lott and Deacon Thomas Johnson.
