Samuel Gordon Wright

Samuel "Sammy" Gordon Wright, Sr. was born on June 30, 1930, to the late Perry Wright, Sr and Inez Campbell Wright in Brownsville, TN. Sammy worked and retired from Texas Gas where he worked in the Maintenance department. He loved The Lord, his family, trout fishing and Cardinals baseball. He was a member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church in Burlison. Along with his parents, Sammy is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 64 years, Bertha Bryson Wright and a grandson, Perry Lee Wright, II, and one brother Franklin Wright. He leaves behind children, Samuel "Sam" Gordon (Judy) Wright, Sr. of Linden, TN and Bonita "Bonnie" Wright (Joel) Fincher of Frog Jump, TN. Grandchildren Cynthia Wright Kinsey of Nesbit, MS, Robert Wright of Columbus, GA, Caren Fincher (Ashley) Jordan and Adam (Kristalea) Fincher of Frog Jump, TN, along with 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Irma Wright Fowler of Somerville, TN.
