She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Ruth Davis, and her brother-in-law Alan Chapman (z"l).
Sandi graduated from Southwest High School and worked for more than 40 years as a medical secretary in several specialties. She was especially proud of typing a medical dictionary for Dr. Charlie Poser. Later, she enjoyed working as an in-store demonstrator for Cuisinart, Rowenta, and other brands, where her warmth and enthusiasm made her a favorite with customers.
Service to others was the center of Sandi's life. She grew up at Beth Shalom, where she was confirmed and married, served as co-chair of the Lechem Committee, and was Treasurer of the Sisterhood Torah Fund. Later, she joined her daughter's family at Ohev Shalom, where she helped cater for her grandsons' Bar Mitzvah celebrations.
She was an avid volunteer throughout her life. She was active for many years in B'nai B'rith Girls, from her youth through adult leadership. She was a life member of the American Medical Center at Denver and Hadassah. She also gave her time to SevenDays, the Interfaith Council, ORT, and Village Shalom, where she volunteered in Memory Care, coordinated Kabbalat Shabbat services, taught Mah Jongg and bridge, led discussion groups and was a one woman welcome committee. Her dedication to volunteerism was recognized with the Kansas Volunteer of the Year award and the Ages of Excellence Award from Village Shalom.
Sandi loved animals, especially the dog of her heart, Lord Beau of Lamar - affectionately called "Beau Beau" - and her daughter's turtle, VanGo, whom she adored. She often dog sat for the pups that lived at Village Shalom.
