Sandi E. White

1964-2026

Sandi E White, 61, current resident of Lawrence, MA, raised in Tewksbury, and long-time resident of Andover, has sadly passed away peacefully in her bed, on Saturday January 17th, 2026. Sandi was born in Winchester, MA, on Wednesday June 10th, 1964. A daughter of the late Andrew White and Betty (White) Smith. Stepdaughter to the late and beloved James "Smitty" Smith, her "brown-eyed father", who she loved so dearly. Sandi is survived by her two loving sons, Stephen Corbin Jr, of Methuen, Richard Corbin and his wife Melissa Corbin, of Hudson, Nh; Four amazing grandchildren, Stephen, Jaxon, Logan, and Kenzie Corbin; Two wonderful sisters, Debbie (White) Gregory, of Deltona, Fl, Cheryl (White) Angelis, of Salem, Nh; Two beautiful nieces, Jessica Schmal, of Florida, Kristin Barbieri, of Denver, Co; Two precious nephews, Cole Angelis, of Salem, Nh, Joseph Dean, of Florida; Her one true love, Stephen Corbin Sr., of Hudson, Nh; hundreds of friends and coworkers, especially Christine Schmal, who helped her tremendously, as she recovered from health complications that began a few years back. She was preceded in death by her two lifelong friends, Dorothy "Dee" Schmal, and Sharon Miller. She loved their children like her own.

Sandi had an illustrious career at the IRS in Andover, MA, while also maintaining various waitressing jobs including the Horseshoe Café in North Reading and the 99's in Andover where she loved to make new friends as she worked. At the IRS, she excelled in multiple positions throughout her 30 years of service. She recently retired and was excited to spend more time working in her garden and enjoying quality time with her grandchildren. Post retirement, she continued helping others, working as a home healthcare aide to Dennis Boehne, and most recently at Market Basket in Tewksbury.

Sandi also very much cared for and helped raise each one of her 4 grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Gigi" (never Grandma). Teaching them to whistle through an acorn shell, tie their shoes, ride their bikes, do puzzles, and swim like a fish, in her beautiful pool.

As a young single mother, Sandi overcame countless struggles and life challenges always prioritizing the health and happiness of her two sons over her own wants and needs. She taught them the value of hard work, and to be kind, generous and respectful. Her sacrifices cannot be overstated and will never be forgotten. She was known to say, "work hard and play smart." She always maintained two, if not three jobs, at a time, to provide for her sons, who she loved and cherished with every beat of her heart from the day they were born. She never took anything for granted.

Sandi fought through life's twists and turns, uphill the whole way, never straying or backing away from a fight, always striving to do what's right. Sandi always accomplished everything she set her mind to. Quitting was never an option and failure was not acceptable. She was the hardest working individual, anyone ever met.

Against all odds, Sandi was able to purchase her beloved home in Andover before eventually finding her dream home in Lawrence, in 2007. A big, beautiful house with an amazing backyard where she would live for the next 20 years. She loved her garden and always had the most beautiful and vibrant flowers. Her yard was her sanctuary. Here she had multiple rose gardens, lilies, bleeding hearts, tulips, morning glories, and so many more.

Having one of the rarer blood-types motivated Sandi to become an avid blood donor. Donating as much as the Red Cross would allow a person to give and undoubtedly saving many lives. She was filled with love and decency. Always willing to help anyone, anyway she could.

Sandi will be remembered for her unforgettable personality. Truly one of a kind. She had many friends, loved to socialize, and could strike up a conversation with anybody. Whether it was camping with her children, family, and friends, simply sitting by the fire and making S'mores, decorating her Christmas tree (probably a Blue Spruce), setting up her train set (she loved Christmas), fishing with her grandson, pulling her granddaughter in the wagon to the neighborhood store, going to the beach to fly a kite, visiting lighthouses all over New England, vacations to Canada, trekking cross-country in a motor-home, taking her grandkids to the zoo or aquarium. She was always having fun, smiling, and intent on creating lasting memories. Memories that her sons and grandchildren will love and cherish forever.

Sandi will be so deeply and dearly missed by all that knew her. A void that can never be filled. A sense of humor that can never be duplicated. A friendship that could never be replaced. A proud mother and grandmother. A beautiful, kind, loving soul. She wore her heart on her sleeve. Never afraid to tell you where to go or how to get there.

Tough as nails, yet sweet as pie,

Roses are red, violets are blue,

We are not looking forward, to life without you.

Gone to soon, without a reason,

Couldn't wait, til flower season.

Funeral services. Wake: Thursday, January 29th, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm at Tewksbury Funeral Home.

Funeral: Friday, January 30th, 2026, beginning at 10:00am at Tewksbury Funeral Home, with her funeral service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. followed by a procession to Tewksbury Cemetery for burial.
