Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tewksbury Funeral Home on Feb. 1, 2026.
Sandra E. Bailey, 80, of Brewster, MA passed away peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital on Monday, January 26, 2026. She was born on February 26, 1945 in Boston MA. Sandra resided in a memory care facility, as she suffered from dementia for several years.

Sandra grew up in South Boston, MA and lived most of her years in Tewksbury, MA raising her family. She graduated from Cardinal Cushing High School in 1963. She attended and graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell with a Bachelor of Business Degree with a focus on Business Administration.

Sandra had a long career working for Verizon, retiring at the age of 62. She volunteered at the Tewksbury Library for many years and served as a Eucharist minister for St. William's Church delivering communion to residents of the Blair House. She cherished her family, especially her four grandsons. She loved to knit, read, bake, and sew. Sandra was always very generous with her time and money and loved to educate her grandsons on saving and looking towards the future.

Sandra is survived by her daughter Christine Mikule and her husband Keith (Brewster, MA), daughter Sharon Bailey, (Litchfield, NH) and beloved cherished grandsons Bailey, Ryan, Gavin and Preston. Paul, her husband of 59 years, predeceased her in November 2025. Sandra's only son, Paul, predeceased her at the age of 22.

Special thanks are extended to the staff of her memory care facility, Maplewood of Brewster, as the care provided was exceptional and to Cape Cod Hospital Mugar 5 Doctors and Nurses who demonstrated compassionate care in her last days.

Services were private. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the following charities close to her heart: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, St. Johns High School of Shrewsbury MA, and Hope Lives Here in Holden, MA.
