Sandra F Agnello

Sandra Agnello, 72 of Forked River, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 afternoon. 'Sandie' was born on Sept. 24 1949 in Newark NJ where she resided until her family relocated to Brick in 1964. The oldest of four, born to hard-working parents, she devoted many of her childhood days looking after her siblings: something she later referred to as an 'honor that she would have done again.' She graduated from Brick High School in 1968.
Sandra married her husband James Agnello in 1977. After which they moved to forked river where they have lived for over 37 years.
Sandra is predeceased by her mother, Rosa Scardillo; and her father, Santo Scardillo. She is survived by: her husband, James Agnello; their two children, whom she adored, daughter Casandra Agnello with her boyfriend, Butch Decker, of Forked River; son James Agnello with his wife, Kristin, of Stafford Township; and the joys of her life, her two granddaughters, Victoria and Danica DeGutis. Along with this, her three siblings and best friends, Jay (Anthony) Scardillo with his wife, Jeannie, of Whiting, Donna DelPizzo with her husband, David, of Brick; Gail Caverly with her husband, Mark, of Brick; and many other extended family members including her nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Spending time and celebrating often with her loving, ever-growing family is what brought her happiness and surely what she was most proud of in her life. She will be forever missed by all especially her four-legged furry companion Dandy.
A Viewing will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 5 to 8pm at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Route 9, Forked River. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville, NJ followed by Burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery and Mausoleums, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Popcorn Park Zoo, P.O. Box 43, Forked River, NJ 08731 in Sandie's Memory.
