Sandra L. Ammermann

Sandra L. Ammermann, 52, was born on March 18, 1971, in Pueblo, Colorado and lived out her life in Colorado Springs. Sandra passed away on May 9, 2023. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Eric Ammermann, for 23 years and has two loving boys, Jared, and Jacob.
Sandra attended Sierra High School in Colorado Springs where she made countless lifelong friends. She worked various jobs throughout her career, from stocking at a warehouse, to conference center scheduling, to being a receptionist. She had a heartfelt, spirited impact on those she worked with and those she touched throughout her daily life.
She treasured life outdoors with her family and friends and loved camping, hiking, boating, and attending family get togethers. She loved music and loved to dance, whether it was dancing to her favorite Spanish music, Country, or just dancing carefree to all types of music, she always brought joy and happiness to those around her.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband Eric, her two sons Jared and Jacob Ammermann, by her parents; Edward and Benita Portillos; Siblings: Eddie Portillos (Kim), Diana Copeland (Shawn), Laura Ceballes (Danny), Mark Portillos, Adrian Portillos (Jessica), Frank Portillos (Tany), and Alex Portillos (Tiffany). She has numerous nieces and nephews and is preceded in death by her sister, Alejandra Portillos.
Sandra's legacy will be carried on through all those who loved and cherished her so dearly. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, her contagious smile and laughter, and her overall love for life. She was everyone's 'best' friend and confidant.
Rest in peace Sandra, we will miss you dearly our sweet Angel!
