Sandra's life was dedicated to her children, her work as an artist, and to the many friends she touched throughout her lifetime. Prior to raising her two sons, she was a nationally recognized sculptor with works found in numerous public and private collections. She maintained a broad yet close social circle and was universally loved by friends and family alike. Her laugh was contagious, and would light up a room. Once she got going there was no stopping until we were all in tears or on the floor from laughter. She loved to sing, dance, and cook. Her brisket, many different kinds of chicken, seasoned broccoli and her amazing cherry pies made from the two cherry trees in her backyard were absolutely amazing! She cherished every moment with her family, celebrating the holidays, and caring for her children. If there were only one word used to describe Sandra it would be the word joyous. Fittingly, her middle name, Joy, describes her very essence. Sandra was simply a joyous person in everything she did.

Max& Ollie, I am sorry you are experiencing this loss. She was a fabulous mama to not only you but all of your friends, too. 2nd mama for sure. She provided a safe and loving and expressive house for you all to grow. Creative exploring always took place in your home. I was so privledged to partner with her on our motherhood journey together. What I lacked, she covered and added to our survival pact. The word creative parenting was not in the background. You kids provided us with a laundry list of situations that challenged even the seasoned pro parents to be stumped. As we tenaciously coordinated team efforts to tackle all you little newly forming humans presented, we vowed to succeed to the adult phase of your life. Our list of parenting conundrums grew and we gladly made creative solutions. Lately as we moved away from being your epicenter of care, we shared many battle stories. Mostly we would share our pride of survivability. Then it always turned into a very long list of bragging pride of all your accomplishments.Yes! We took full credit for them all. So Max and Ollie you left Sandra's heart completely full of pride and overflowing with love. There is no better gift you could have given her. No regrets! You are still are and always will be her pride and joy. Keep talking with her, and never forget all of the love she poured into you! You are her legacy! Keep making her proud! Your 2nd mama's are here if you ever need anything. We love you, too. Maggie Czerwionka
