Funeral service for Sandra Hershey Bernight, age 64, of Brashear, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas with Amanda Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Seymore Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Bernight passed away at Carriage House Manor on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
Sandra Hershey Bernight was born on May 10, 1960 at Midland, Texas to Sam and Evelyn (Seymore) Hershey. She married Jeff Bernight in Sulphur Springs, Texas on February 8, 1991.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Jeff Bernight of Brashear, Texas; children, Nicholas Reeves and Amanda Johnston; grandchildren, Kaylee Nichole Brooks of Paris, Texas, Lori Allen of Burleson, Texas, Macailynn Green of Dallas, Texas, Celeste Young of Sulphur Springs, Texas; 4 great-grandchildren, brother, Lowry Hershey of Amarillo, Texas, and sisters, Rhea Lynn Samuelson of Denton, Texas, Holly Phillips of Sulphur Springs, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Evelyn Hershey; and son, Michael Ray Hershey.
