Sandra C. Blakeley

HOWLAND – Sandra C. Blakeley, age 79, entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Shepherd of the Valley in Liberty. She was born August 6, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Harry and Carolyn (Giles) Willis.
Sandra graduated from the Bradwell Institute in Hinesville, Georgia, where she was a cheerleader, played basketball, and was the homecoming queen. She worked as a beautician for twenty years before working as a nurse's aide at Warren General Hospital, while attending Youngstown State University to study nursing.
In her later years, she was employed by the Trumbull Educational Services Center as an aide for students and enjoyed working at the Fairhaven School.
Sandra sold both Avon and Tupperware for many years and loved the parties she had with her customers, all of whom she considered her friends. She loved to feed and watch the squirrels and birds, and she was the ultimate homemaker for her cherished family. Sandra was a member of Howland Glen Baptist Church.
Precious memories of Sandra live on with her beloved husband of fifty-eight years, Richard Blakeley, whom she married April 23, 1967; and two daughters, Suzanne Blakeley of St. Louis, Missouri and Tracy Blakeley of Howland. She was Nanny to her four grandchildren: Ashley Thompson (Chris), Cole Blakeley (Cassandra), Heidi Border (Alex), and Hawk Blakeley, and she shared a special bond with each one of them. Sandra has one lovely great-granddaughter, Zoey.
Her parents precede her in death.
