Sandra Bowman, 55, of Brandon, MS passed away peacefully at River Oaks Hospital, surrounded by loved ones on August 15, 2025.
Sandra was a graduate of Mendenhall High School (‘87) and a longtime former employee of Trustmark Bank. She spent the last 17 years taking care of young children in the area and has become known as “nana” to many.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Walker; brother, Bubba Walker; father-in-law, Billy Bowman; and longtime best friend, Aundi Robinson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Teddy Bowman; sons, Austin (Taylor) Bowman and Will (Gabby) Bowman; father, George Earl Walker; siblings, Melinda (John) Workman, Tim Walker, and Sharon (Gordy) Patrick; a host of nieces and nephews; and her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Avery and Noah Bowman.
Sandra will be remembered by family and friends for being a loving and fierce protector, an honest thought in any situation, and a doting mama and nana to ALL of her kids (blood relation or not).
Arrangements will be held at Ott and Lee Funeral Home; visitation will be on Tuesday, August 19, from 5- 8pm and Wednesday, August 20, from 9-10am with service to follow.
