Sandra L. Brubeck

Sandra, age 86, passed away on December 20, 2025.
Sandra was born on March 11, 1939, to Sydney Michael Carr and Alma Louise (Wrisinger) Carr in Auburn, Nebraska, where she was also raised. She was one of nine children. Her siblings included Juanita, Jack, Joe, Sharon, Shirley (surviving), Nancy (surviving), Rich and Robyn (surviving).
On October 15, 1955, Sandra married James "Jim" Henderson, Sr. in Forest City, Missouri. They made their home in Oregon, Missouri until 1968, when they relocated with their family to Shreveport, Louisiana. Sandra and Jim shared 16 years of marriage and had seven children together: Anita; James Jr. (preceded in death); Joanie; JoEllen (preceded in death); Tina (preceded in death); Micah "Mickey"; and Darien.
Sandra's husband Jim passed away on December 29, 1971. In later years, Sandra remarried and welcomed another daughter, Michelle.
Sandra devoted the majority of her professional life to Fina Petroleum Company, where she served in a management role. She remained with the company until her retirement, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues through her strong, work ethic, leadership, and dedication.
She was a proud, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sandra is survived by 18 grandchildren: Melissa, Jimmy, Precious, Cathy, Amanda, Blake, Bryan, Nikki, Candy, Cassie, Jason, Brendan, Josh, Chris, Tyler, Emalee, Brooklyn, and Christian; as well as twenty-seven great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 10, 2026 at Richmond Christian Chapel (801 Wollard Blvd. Richmond, Missouri) from 2:00-4:00PM.
