Sandra Bryant Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. - Hickman County on Feb. 11, 2026.
If love could have added years to a life, she would have lived forever. Sandra Sue Russell "Sandy" Bryant, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, at the age of 82.

Sandy was a strong and selfless Christian woman whose life was a testimony of love, service and faith. She poured her heart into her family, always placing their needs before her own. A faithful member of the Centerville Church of Christ, she lived serving and encouraging those around her through every season of her life.

Sandy devoted over 40 years to managing Tulipwood caring for everyone with the same attention and love she had for her own family. Seeing that each person was worthy of love and respect. Tulipwood was more than a job – it was a community she cherished.

The holidays were Sandy's favorite season. Decorating early wasn't impatience; it was her way of holding onto the magic just a little longer each year. Every ornament had a story – who gave it, and what year it was bought. At her table, you felt her love in every bite, every laugh and every tight hug she gave. Sandy celebrated big milestones and small victories. She remembered birthdays, anniversaries, and the little details that made each person feel special. Her generosity was steady and constant.

Sandy's love for sports began with her own athletic talent and continued into her later years as she cheered on her favorite team, the Tennessee Titans. She somehow made even the toughest defeats part of the fun, sharing her excitement through calls and texts with those she loved most. Sandy also enjoyed watching Fox News and deeply cherished the time she spent with her family.

Sandy is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tami Duke, grandson, Ryan Robert O'Neill, granddaughter, Sandra Nicole Duke, great-granddaughter, Brieanna Leigh Duke, and great-grandson, Ozzy Justin Poore.

Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, James "Robert" Bryant, son-in-law, Steve Duke, her parents, Joseph Russell and Jeweldine Bruener, five brothers, and two sisters.

As a grandmother and great-grandmother her heart overflowed with joy. Sandy treasured them, prayed over them, and wrapped them in love that was gentle, patient and unconditional. Her family was everything to her and all she needed. She will be remembered for her tender spirit and nurturing heart.
