In Loving Memory of Sandra Kaye (Ruffner) Burk
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Sandra Kaye Burk, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and educator. Kaye as she was known by, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Springfield, MO, at the age of 81.
Born on March 23, 1943, in Walnut Ridge, AR, Kaye dedicated her life to the field of education, inspiring countless students throughout her career as a teacher. With a master's degree in hand, she was not only an educator but a mentor who shaped the minds and hearts of many.
Kaye will be fondly remembered by her sons, John Sharp, Robert Burk, Paul Burk, and Joseph Burk, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Kalyn, William, Wyatt, Kayden, Dylan, Spencer, Sidnie, Sailer and her daughters-in-law, Racheal, Cris, and Missie. Her sister, Becky Douglas, and nephew, Eric Douglas, also mourn her passing. Peggy Sue, her beloved pug, will also miss her deeply.
A compassionate soul with a gentle spirit, Kaye touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and dedication will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
May Kaye Burk rest in eternal peace, her memory forever cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will now be with her husband Bob, whom she loved and built a loving family around.
Kaye was preceded in death by: Husband; Bob Burk, Father; John Ruffner, Mother; Maida Long, Grandparents; John and Opal Ruffner, and her brother Paul Long.

You will be so missed Kaye. I was one of the lucky ones to have meet you. You were a wonderful caring friend. A great Grandmother to our 3 shred grands kids, Spencer, Sidnie & Sailer who loved you dearly. I feel so sad for all of your family & friends who loved you so much.
