This obituary has been lovingly prepared by the family.
Mrs. Sandra "Sandi" C. Cobb, age 71, of Mansfield peacefully passed away on July 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born in Myrtle Point, Oregon on December 16,1951 to Richard and Carol Clayton who have preceded her in death, along with her brother, Douglas A. Clayton. Sandi grew up in Coquille, Oregon and was a graduate of Coquille High School. Although not originally from the South, she "got here just as soon as she could!" Sandi retired from Bank of Monticello where she worked as a Teller, taking pride in her job and valued hard work. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, crocheting and puzzles. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and Oregon Ducks fan. GO DAWGS! Sandi was a longtime member of New Rocky Creek Baptist Church and a steadfast woman of faith. Her greatest accomplishment and pleasure in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who she deeply loved.
Sandi is survived by her husband of 30 years Russell Cobb; her children Niki Barber (Robert), Becky Moore (Dennis), David Cobb, and Renee Sorrells, her grandchildren Rory Barber (Mari), Dustin Brooking (Shannon), Tyler Moss, Noah Faubli, Ireland Moore, Luke Faubli, Cayla Sorrells and David "DK" Sorrells; great-grandchildren Caroline Barber, Shiloh and Saylor Brooking, Mason Finch, Shelby Sorrells and Aurie Sorrells; her sister Shirley Wise (Jimmy); nephew David Lynch (Tiffany); niece Candace Funt (Daniel); numerous other family members and many close friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cobb will be held at 12 o'clock Saturday, July 8, 2023 at New Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 190 Rocky Creek Road, Mansfield, GA 30055 with Dr. Randy Reese and Reverend Charles Roper officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:00pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
"Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise."
Jeremiah 17:14
