Ms. Sandra Deloris Williams Collins, 66, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024. She was born December 20, 1957 in Yadkin County to William “Bill” Williams and Sylvia Jean Cline Williams. Ms. Collins was preceded in death by her father. Sandra enjoyed traveling, and journaling. She loved going to the beach, raising her garden, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. Ms. Collins was a longtime member of Gospel Chapel Church and recently she had been attending Peace Haven Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Ameisha (Landon) Mendenhall; grandchildren, Korbyn Brown, Bryson Brown, Austin Brown; great-granddaughter, Kamila Brown; sisters, Carol Williams, Shelia (Eric) Ridings; brothers, Daryl (Julie) Williams, Jr. (Tonya) Williams; special extended family, Jonathan (Katie) Collins and Taylor Collins; and her special companion, Phil Johnson. A celebration of life will be 3:30 PM, Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Peace Haven Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Sandra’s doctor, Dr. John McKay and his staff, the staff of Wake Forest Baptist 7th floor nurses, and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care shown to Sandra. Memorials may be made to Wake Forest Cancer Patient Support Program, SECU Hospitality House in Winston Salem or Mtn. Valley Hospice of Yadkin County.
