Sandy Cronquist, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died on September 5, 2024, at the age of 77. Sandy was born August 10, 1947, in Lincoln Nebraska, to Maynard and Helen Modeen. She grew up in Sacramento California. She married Robert (Bob) Cronquist in California on August 20, 1972. They moved to Colorado Springs with their daughter Tammy shortly after getting married.
Sandy owned and loved her courier service, SCSE Inc., that she started with her husband Bob Cronquist in 1988. Prior to owning SCSE, Sandy worked in home care and as a waitress.
Sandy lived a full life filled with travel, family, and friends. She would take every opportunity to celebrate life. She always made holidays, birthdays, weddings, new babies, etc. so special for her family and friends. Sandy loved Colorado! She was her happiest when she was in the mountains. She especially enjoyed driving her sports car with the top down, seeing the leaves change colors in the fall, and enjoyed concerts in the park. Sandy was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles where she volunteered and attended karaoke with friends every week. She also loved going to yoga and water aerobics at the Colorado Springs senior center and YMCA.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Cronquist (March 29, 1945 - November 08, 2017).
Sandy is survived by her sister Sue Schumacher, daughter Tamara Lane, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces, and countless friends and adopted family that loved and adored her.
A combined memorial service for Bob and Sandy will be held at All Veterans Burial & Cremation in Colorado Springs on 09/17/2024 10:00am viewing, 11:00am service followed by graveside services at Pikes Peak National Cemetery at 1:00pm.
