Sandra Lee Dagen, October 2, 1939 - January 19, 2025, age 85.
Her children would like you to know that she was a hard worker. Her first job was a switchboard operator at the New York telephone company. She also was a dispatcher for the Newburgh Volunteer Ambulance Service. She worked for an insurance company "Two Gals" with her long time friend, Marie. She was one of the Gals. Her favorite profession was being a Bookkeeper for many companies.
Mom liked to move, changing her address from New York, Florida and North Carolina, where she found her love of the mountains.
Mom was a lover of coffee. The only way to get through the day! She was very generous, always giving to causes that she believed in. She loved thrifting where she collected Swans, costume jewelry and books, as she was an avid reader. Really anything that caught her eye. She was happiest listening to music and dancing. But, most of all she loved her family.
She is survived by her children: Yvonne Donaldson (Darrell), Randolph Middleton (Bridgett), Jodi Wagner (Ronnie), 5 loving Grandchildren: Stephen, Matthew, Brandon, Justin and Makenzie, 3 Great-Grandchildren: Thomas, Diana and Odin.
Mom is also remembered by her sister Shirley Hudgens in Alabama along with many nieces and nephews, especially her Jacksonville family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and George W. Talmadge, sisters: Hazel Middleton, Nancy Sutton, Rose Marie Hayden, brother Frank Talmadge and niece, Julie Fuller.
Mom's final years were spent at Lake Forest Park ALF in Fort Pierce, Florida. There she was surrounded by an extended family. She enjoyed the activities, the delicious food, and was able to keep her independence. The family appreciates the support, her care, and the love that was shown to her. Rest in Peace Mom.
No flowers are needed as we will "Celebrate her Life" at a later date. As per her wishes, in the mountains of Tennessee.
