Obituary
Sandra (Postler) Daigle, 81, of Plainfield, CT, formerly of Franklin, CT passed away surrounded by her family on April 4, 2023. She was born in Norwich, CT to Carl and Vera Postler.
Sandy raised six children with the love of her life, Norman Daigle, who she ran away with and married in 1958. In addition to being a doting mom, she kept a family farm running and drove a town school bus in Franklin. When her children were older, she worked at The Plant Group in Franklin. Her knowledge and love of plant life and flowers is something we will remember fondly. Her garden was incredible, and she was always willing to share a cutting of your favorite flower. In this way, her memories will live on. Anyone that visited Nana knew of her coffee table, it was always full of candy or some kind of goody, she would always send you home with a goody bag. Nana loved her baked goods and there was always a great cup of coffee to go with it. Sandy also enjoyed picnics at Rocky neck with her children and her cousin Maryann and family, and spotting wildlife.
Sandra leaves behind an array of people who love her, notably, her six children- Bruce Daigle and his wife Sherry (WY), Keith Daigle and his wife Diane (FL), Lori Rottino and her husband John (Willimantic, CT), Heidi Forster and her husband Chris (Norwich, CT), Joel (Chaplin, CT) and Thomas and his wife Sheila (Montville, CT). In addition, Sandy was blessed with twelve grandchildren Cody, Kate, Justin, Samantha, Kelsey, Marrah, Cassidy, Skylar, Ashley, Adam, Victoria and Thomas and twelve great-grandchildren Xavier, Grant, Lucy, Gabriella, Nova, Alexander, Byron, Devon, Leighton, Parker, Walker and Brady. She is also survived by her sister Robie Kolonicki (Salem), and a special friend and sister-in-law, June. She is predeceased by her loving husband Norman and her brother David.
The family will be having a Celebration of life for Sandra Daigle on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Franklin Firehouse, Route 32 in Franklin, CT.
