Sandra Faye Darr

Sandra “Sandy” Faye Darr, 77, of Matteson passed away suddenly on May 18, 2025. Wife of Roy Darr, mother of Laura Erin Darr and the (late 2006) Bradley “Brad” Darr. Sister of Larry (Linda) McLaughlin, Walter “Robbie” McLaughlin, Gayla (Pat) Moore, Sharon Pastirik. Daughter of the late Walter McLaughlin and Doris Culver nee Taylor. Sandra was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She enjoyed working with children and over the years was a preschool and art teacher at Creative Play Daycare and Preschool in Homewood, Sauk Trail Baptist Temple in Richton Park, the MOPS program at New Life Church in New Lenox, and the First Baptist Church of Tinley Park where she also taught Sunday school and was a member. Sandra enjoyed crafts and collecting things she saw beauty in. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way in Frankfort. Interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Frankfort where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved son Brad.
