Sandra Kay Donelson, 71, of Ashland passed away Wednesday morning on June 25th 2025 at Crystal Care Nursing Home in Ashland after a long illness.
Sandy was born in Ashland on March 18th 1954 to the late Dwight L. Donelson Jr. and Glenna Maye (nee Miller) Donelson.
She was a lifelong resident of Ashland county. Sandy was a graduate of Hillsdale High School and the Wooster Business College. She had a career in the insurance field that lasted over 40 years; including Wayne Mutual Insurance in Wooster and Ingmand Insurance in Ashland. She retired from Western Reserve Insurance in Wooster as a Senior underwriter in 2019.
Sandy enjoyed traveling, gardening, and reading. She especially loved vacations that took her to the beach.
She attended the Crossroads Church (Main Campus) in Mansfield and enjoyed Bible Study.
Sandy is survived by her brother, Randy Donelson (Gary Sales) of Oxford, Fl; her sister, Deborah Clemens of Upper Sandusky; two nieces; several great nieces and nephews; cousins; and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ed Clemens.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 1st 2025, in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home in Ashland with Chris Standridge presiding. Friends may call on Monday, June 30th from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Jeromesville Cemetery.

I am so sorry that I am away and unable to attend the service. I loved the visits I had with Sandy while I stayed with her Mom and after her Mom passed. Randy and Debbie, know that I am so sorry for your loss and I pray both of you are doing well. Warm hugs for both of you.
