Sandra Coonrod Inman Edwards, age 89 of Carrollton passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 25, 1935 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Dr. Paul and Ethel Wemken Bauer. She grew up in White Hall and graduated from White Hall High School in 1953. She graduated from Passavant School of Nursing in Jacksonville in 1956.
Sandra married Donald D. Coonrod of White Hall on March 4, 1956. They were married for 30 years, until his death in 1986. They raised 4 sons, living in White Hall, Pittsfield, and finally Carrollton.
She married Jack Inman in 1991 and he died in 2002. She later married Carl Edwards in 2004 and he preceded her in death in 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a son, Bret Coonrod, a sister, Terrell Bauer, and brother, Dr. Deedric Bauer.
Sandra retired as a Registered Nurse for the Greene Country Health Department.
She was a faithful member of the Carrollton First Baptist Church, singing in the Choir and playing Handbells, as well as serving in many different capacities over the years.
She loved to travel, visiting many countries in Europe as well as touring China. One of her highlights was in 2016, when at age 80, she was able to take her entire family on a Disney Cruise. She enjoyed seeing friends,
going out to eat, (especially to Josephine's Tea Room in Godfrey), and attended yoga practice twice a week, well into her eighties.

Yesterday

Sandra and I graduated from White Hall High School in the Class of 1953.
Her death saddens me. My sincere sympathy to her sons and family.
Sandra was a very nice person, a lovable achiever in whatever she began. At our 50th class reunion she stated that her family, friends, faith were her most valuable gifts. RIP Sandra.
