Robert Lee Brooks Jr.

Robert Lee "Bobby" Brooks, age 56, of Roodhouse, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025. He was born on November 15, 1968, to Kay Castleberry Brooks and the late Robert Brooks Sr.
Bobby is survived by his mother, Kay Castleberry Brooks of White Hall, IL; his son, Steven Brooks of Roodhouse, IL; his sister, Tracey (Mark) Bierman of Belleville, IL; and his two nieces, Peyton and Elana Bierman, also of Belleville, IL.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert Brooks Sr.; an infant brother, Bradley; his paternal grandparents, Vernus and Marvell Brooks; and his maternal grandparents, Russell Castleberry and Virginia Lombardo.
Bobby worked for many years as a boilermaker with Local 363 in Belleville, IL. He had a deep love for playing guitar, boating, fishing, riding his motorcycle, golfing, and spending time with his family, friends, and extended loved ones. Bobby was deeply loved and will be missed by many.
In accordance with his wishes, Bobby will be cremated. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will take place on Sunday, December 7th at 1:00 PM at Two Dog Bar and Grill, located at 104 South State Street, Roodhouse, IL 62082.
