Sandra "Sandy" Maxine Ellis, 80
Date Of Birth: 12/12/1944
Date of Death: 11/18/2025

Sandra Maxine Ellis, lovingly known as Sandy, passed away on November 18th at the age of 80, surrounded by her family.
Sandy grew up in Pilot Rock, Oregon, where she graduated from Pilot Rock High School. It was during those early years that she met the love of her life, Dwaine Ellis. The two recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary, a testament to their deep devotion and lifelong partnership.
After high school, Sandy moved to Hillsboro, Oregon, where she lived and worked at Key Bank for many years, but her proudest accomplishment was raising her four children. Sandy was an exceptionally supportive and caring mother who never missed a swim meet, sporting event, or moment when her children needed her. Her steady presence, encouragement, and warmth were constants in their lives and continue to be felt today.
In 2003, she and Dwaine moved to Beaver, Oregon, near Tillamook. There, they built a peaceful home along the Nestucca River. Sandy cherished the quiet moments spent on her deck overlooking the water, watching bald eagles glide overhead - a simple joy that brought her great peace.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Maxine and Don Winnett, and her brothers, Eugene Winnett and Gary Winnett.
She is survived by her husband, Dwaine Ellis, and her four children: Mike Ellis, Mark Ellis, Missy Ellis, and Mindy Miller. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Emily Nordyke, Ashley Ellis, Braden Ellis, Diego Ellis, Addy Ellis, Brittney Wismatt, Joshua Miller, Josie Miller and Dillon Vance. Sandy is also survived by her great-grandchildren Makenna Vance and Olivia Stafford.
A celebration of Sandy's life will be held in Pilot Rock, Oregon, at a later date.
Sandy will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering love for her family, and the gentle steadiness with which she approached life. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
