Sandra Marie Fairchild passed from this life to her eternal home on February 15, 2026. She leaves behind her husband of 25 years, Jeff Fairchild. Also her sister Peggy Anderson, brother Ron Smith; as well as her step daughter Pamela Robledo, husband Abraham, and their two sons, Elijah and Lucas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson C. Smith and Carolina Roybal Smith and her brother Robert Smith of Los Alamos.
Sandra was born December 5,1961 in Los Alamos, New Mexico where she attended Los Alamos High School. She studied architecture and drafting and for decades she contributed to the building of many New Mexico communities.
She worked with Claudio Vigil Architects in Contract Administration and lastly with Mick Rich Contractors as a Senior Project Manager. Her positive attitude kept many projects on track to successful completion.
Her professional achievements and generous spirit will be remembered by her fellow employees and her many friends.
Sandra had many friends at Elephant Butte where she and Jeff spent quality time in recreation and fellowship. She loved to ride motorcycles with Jeff as they participated in many rallies for charitable causes throughout New Mexico.
Sandra loved her dog, Harley, and treated her just like her own child. When Harley died in early February, Sandra and Jeff were devastated. Her grief and pain over the loss of Harley was real, as all pet owners know, and perhaps was just too much to bear.
Services for Sandra will be held on Saturday February 28 at 10AM at First Baptist Church West Albuquerque, 6400 Golf Course Rd. NW 87120 with interment following at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE 87107
