Sandra (Sandy) (Egger) Fearns, of Sun City Hilton Head S.C. passed at home surrounded by family and friends Tuesday, December 3, 2024. She was born in New York City, the daughter of the Butch Egger and Ella (Muller) Egger. Sandy spent her early years growing up on her family's farm in Pennsylvania. It is here where her lifelong love for animals began.
Sandy, married to Bill, (NYC) for 50 years. They lived for many years in Westwood, NJ and their home there was always a warm hub of the family parties and celebrated throughout the year. Sandy loved hosting family and friends in their home. Worked for many years for Traveler's Insurance Company until she retired and moved south to Sun City Hilton Head, SC in 2001.
Sandy had many interests and pursuits that kept her busy in her retirement. Started with Paramus Park Zoo where she volunteers as a teacher docent on zoo animals in schools and library's. Then help started the clown cercal in Bergin County in New Jersey. After the move to Sun City, it was time to try magic and joined the grope from Hilton Head. After three years Sandy became the president of the grope, where she entertained many people with her work in shows.
Sandy is predeceased by her brother Fred Egger (Elanor), Arline, Debos, and her son Peter. Sandy is survived by her beloved husband Bill, son Will Jr. (Lynne) and her 6 grandchildren; Westley Fearns (Marysol), Eileen Fearns (Adrian), Liam Fearns, Colin Fearns (Brock), Natalie and William-Tripp Fearns. She is also a beloved Great-Grandmother to Jacob Fearns. Sandy was also a beloved aunt, sister, sister-in-law, and friend. Her kindness and spirit touched everyone she encountered, and she will be greatly missed by all.
