Sandra Gardner Obituary
Born June 4, 1946, in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late James Lamar Ficklin and Ethel Dove Ficklin. Mrs. Gardener retired from South State Bank and faithfully served her church as a pianist at Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member.
Surviving are three sons, Tracy Peppers of Greenwood, Phillip Peppers (Diane) of Bradley, and Ken Peppers of Waterloo; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two special cousins, Kathy Suddeth and Pat Gunter; her step-children, Dickie Gardner (Angela) of Greenwood, Jennifer Alexander of Greenwood, and Paul White (Dee Dee) of Lexington; and caretaker, Rita Floyd.
She was predeceased by a son, Jeff Peppers, and a brother, Jimmy Ficklin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mike Ventrello and Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Chad Teague, Jesse Attaway, TJ Peppers, Tanner Peppers, Rick Lackaye, and Steve Dove.
The family is at the home of Mrs. Gardners son, Phil Peppers, and will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.

I'm so sorry I know she has been sick for some time, we missed her playing piano at Called Self. My thoughts are with her family and friends, I know she will be missed.

Mimi I don´t want to believe this is real. Every good memory of my childhood is because of you. You stepped up when you didn´t have to and have been there for me my entire life. My life has never not had you in it. I don´t want a world where you aren´t here. You were the most beautiful angel Gid ever placed on this earth. I remember going to watch you square dance as a child and watching you play piano just in awe of how amazing you were. I use to pretend you were my mom when I would spend the night with you. Heck that´s how you became my Mimi because I asked to call you mama.Nobody could ever compete with the beauty inside of you. You will forever be missed.
